Cucumber Salad

Cucumber Salad (from Mary Beth Meehan)

Slice cucumbers as thin as possible
Lay them in a bowl or plate and sprinkle them judiciously with salt (not too too much!)
Let stand at least an hour (even more) allowing them to release water
Drain as much of the water as possible  from the cucumber slices
Mix with sour cream and chopped dill, to taste

*(The more water you get out of the cukes, the creamier the salad remains. If you don’t get it all, the salad starts to get watery and runny, and the sour cream breaks down.)
